The inaugural exhibition curated by Euphonia Studio centred on work by renowned theatre and opera director Dr Jonathan Miller. His sculptures and mixed media pieces - strong Modernist assemblages of found objects both mudane and extraordinary - were curated and shown in an appropriately theatrical setting that highlighted their bold shapes and textures. Drawing on Miller's interest on reflection (the subject of an exhibition he curated at the National Gallery in 1998) Hand and Mind also featured a new, acutely observed mirror-drawing by The Lake Twins, London-based sisters whose work has been exhibited and archived in galleries, heritage sites, educational institutions and private collections globally since graduating from Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design in 2012. Recent exhibitions include displays at Turner's House, Twickenham and Lights of Soho. Hand and Mind also featured pieces by Euphonia Studio's Artistic Director, Alisdair Kitchen, whose work as a director benefits from Miller's mentorship. Works included pieces inspired by his recent designs for Britten's The Turn Of The Screw.
